Matthew 11:28

I was too late to enter the last two cards to the
Word Art Wednesday challenge
so I am trying to be early this time!!

This is the new Scripture for this Wednesday and
here is the card I created.

What a wonderful Scripture!
We have Someone who is there when we are
weary or loaded down with care
and He can do more than just listen to our problems.

HE CAN SOLVE THEM!

I am so thankful that I have a Saviour
who really cares about me and my needs.

God bless you all and have a wonderful week.

Encouragement Cards

I worked on a few encouragement cards
this week.

Here are two that I made and sent.
I am going to link them
to Word Art Wednesday.

I tried to make this like one I had seen somewhere ,
but it didn't end up the way it started.
that seems to happen to a lot of the cards I start.

On this one I embossed  the flower
and then colored the bloom
with my Spectrum Noir markers
and added some Win of Stella to make it pop.

The stamp was from a Stampin' Up set,
that I think is no longer available,
called "Oh, So Lovely"

I won the stamp set from a blog hop a while back.

Easter may be over, but Our Saviour still lives
and is sitting at the right hand of the Father in heaven
interceding for us and waiting to come back
for those who love and serve Him.

Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God;
angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
1 Peter 3:22

Who is he that condemneth?
It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again,
who is even at the right hand of God,
who also maketh intercession for us.
Romans 8:34

HE IS RISEN

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

which according to his abundant mercy
hath begotten us again unto a lively hope
by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Peter 1:3

I CHOOSE

Choose you this day whom ye will serve...
but as for me and my house,
we will serve the LORD.
Joshua 24:15

In life we have many choices.
Every day we make choices that affect our entire future.
Sometimes it seems like we do not have a choice
about the events that we are involved in or facing, but we do.

We have a choice as to how we will react
to the circumstances and the attitudes or actions of others.

I heard a song written by Rodney Griffin today,
sung by Ivan Parker
that sums it up about the choices we make in our spiritual life.

“I Choose”

Master, may I be so honest?  Could I admit the way I feel?
I’m hurting.  It seems that You’ve forsaken.
I wonder, is Your love for me still real?
Though my friends think I am happy, unaffected by this trial,
they can’t see the pain I’m hiding just underneath my smile.
Master, I can’t live this way anymore.  So, today, I make my choice.

I choose to believe that You are faithful, and my heart is in Your hands,
and this mystery that I face today is part of a greater plan.
I choose not to be discouraged when the sun will not break through.
I have the choice of trusting You.  So, Lord, this is what I choose.

I know the road will not be easy.  I know I’ll have my weaker days.
And Satan will tell me I don’t mean it when I say I’ll trust God all the way.
But that really doesn’t matter.  I refuse to hear him out.
With my faith, I’ll find the power that will overcome all doubt.
Lord, I’ve never felt so strong as when I’m resting in Your arms.

I choose to believe that You are faithful, and my heart is in Your hands,
and this mystery that I face today is part of a greater plan.
I choose not to be discouraged when the sun will not break through.
I have the choice of trusting You.  So, Lord, this is what I choose.

I choose to believe that You are faithful, and my heart is in Your hands,
and this mystery that I face today is part of a greater plan.
I choose not to be discouraged when the sun will not break through.
I have the choice of trusting You.  So, Lord, this is what I choose.
This is what I choose.  Gonna trust You, Lord.  I choose!

I hope that this will encourage you as it did me.
I choose to trust my Faithful Lord even when I do not understand.

Several cards I made this week.

I have set before you life and death,
blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life,
Deuteronomy 30:19

Thanks for visiting and during this Holy Week may
you keep Christ the center of your life!

The Upward Pull

Sometimes in life we just have to rely on knowing
that God is there and still cares about us.
Even when we cannot see Him in action,
He is still working.

The Upward Pull

He stood aside from his playmates,
His sightless eyes to the sky,
And the cord in his hands was tightly drawn
By the kite that flew so high.
In his big eyes, wondering, beautiful,
On his pale little slender face,
There shone such a rapture, such keen delight,
That someway it seemed out of place.
And I could not forbear to pause and ask,
”My laddie, what pleases you so,
As you hold your kite in the far-off sky,
Since its motion you cannot know?”

He turned and smiled as he softly said,
And his voice with joy was full,
“I can’t just explain, but it makes me glad,
When I feel that upward pull.”

That Upward Pull; it comes to us
‘In the weariness of strife.
When we stand bewildered, blinded and hurt,
Mid the fall of our cherished dream.
It is good to know that we cannot fail,
If we follow the heavenly gleam,
And never an hour may be so sad,
Nor ever a sky so dull
But we may, if we will, reach out and find
That God-given, Upward Pull.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him
endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2

And I will share a couple cards I made :

 Keep looking up!
