I’M A
CHILD OF THE KING
I am a
very wealthy person.
My father has all that I could ever need or
want
and He wrote me a letter and
told me that if I ever need anything
to just ask Him and He will provide it for me
He did say that this offer was only
available so long as I am an obedient child.
I was born into the family and He has
always been there for me
helping me to grow into a child that
He would be proud of.
He is the light of my life and
I would never ask anything of Him
that would not please Him or that
would be a waste of money,
because even though He is rich,
He wants His money used wisely.
I believe what He said and I will give Him
my requests and let Him sort out
what He thinks I need.
After all, He is building me a mansion
for when I move home and
I don’t want to interfere with that.
A Child of the King
Harriet E.
Buell, 1877
My
Father is rich in houses and lands,
He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands!
Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold,
His coffers are full, He has riches untold.
He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands!
Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold,
His coffers are full, He has riches untold.
Refrain:
I’m a child of the King,
A child of the King:
With Jesus my Savior,
I’m a child of the King.
I’m a child of the King,
A child of the King:
With Jesus my Savior,
I’m a child of the King.
My
Father’s own Son, the Savior of men,
Once wandered on earth as the poorest of them;
But now He is pleading our pardon on high,
That we may be His, when He comes by and by.
Once wandered on earth as the poorest of them;
But now He is pleading our pardon on high,
That we may be His, when He comes by and by.
I
once was an outcast stranger on earth,
A sinner by choice, an alien by birth,
But I’ve been adopted, my name’s written down,
An heir to a mansion, a robe and a crown.
A sinner by choice, an alien by birth,
But I’ve been adopted, my name’s written down,
An heir to a mansion, a robe and a crown.
A
tent or a cottage, why should I care?
They’re building a palace for me over there;
Though exiled from home, yet still may I sing:
All glory to God, I’m a child of the King.
For every beast of the forest is mine,
and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Psalm 50:10
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Romans 11:33
