Hello…

I hope you remember me.
I am so far behind in my blogging.
So many things have been happening in my life,
but I want to get back on track.

I have finally started making cards again so I will
also be sharing some of them on my blog.

Today I wanted to share a poem that I think
expresses  something that I hope
will be as helpful to you as it is to me.

Speak Out
One never knows how much
A little word may mean.
How it may heal a broken heart
Or still a qualm unseen.

Someone may be discouraged
About to turn aside,
They might be trying to be brave
And all their fears to hide.

They may fear to tell just how
Their weary spirit feels,
But just one kind, little word from you
Could be the one that heals.

Their job they may have tried to do
And yet they feel so wrong
And just a thoughtful word from you
May fill their heart with song.

So friend, speak out!
It won’t cost you a thing,
But to some sorrowing, aching heart
A ray of hope may bring.

We never know what problems
those around us are facing ,
but kindness and love will make a difference.

And be ye kind one to another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32

Here is the cards I made using Word Art Wednesday's scripture last week.

I would love for you to leave a comment!

  1. Oh Mehrll~I was so thrilled to see your post in my inbox!
I just had to come over for a visit and say hi as I have certainly missed you.
Your creative cards are so beautiful. I admire those of you who share the beautiful work of your hands. The one with the sunflowers is gorgeous. Sunflowers have a way of putting a smile on one's face, don't they?
That poem is just lovely and so very true.
I was just talking with Stephanie this morning about this very thing. I tend to be drawn to those who appear lonesome, and maybe in need of a friend, and just yesterday I made a point to approach a lady that I really felt was in need of someone to give her some attention, and after talking with her for a good 25 minutes she thanked me for making it a point to stop and spend time with her.
I was blessed and I believe she was too.
Yes, May we stop long enough to care and love others.
Beautiful post, and so good to see you.
    Much love~ Debbie

  4. Thank you for your kind comments. I visited your blog briefly and have subscribed. I want to investigate it further when I have more time. Also liked you on Facebook. I mainly use my blog to be a witness for my Saviour. I make cards, but usually only to give away or send to those who need encouragement, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I try to weekly use the Word Art Wednesday verses to make cards and use them as note cards. Thank you so much for visiting and hope you will be blessed and encouraged by what I post.

  8. Looking over the comments of some of my sweet blogging friends! Love the commonness of falling away from the blogging for a time. Life gets in the way with importantness! (so to speak) This is a wonderful expression of the gifting God has given you. Your cards, too, speak to the heart of the Love of Christ! I am sure the receivers of the snail mail are pleased to open such a gift! May the Lord continue His blessings in your life!
