Broken Dreams
(By Lauretta P. Burns)
As children bring their
broken toys with tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to
God because He was my friend.
But then instead of leaving
them with Him in peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to
help with ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back
and cried, "How can you be so slow?"
"My child," He
said, "What could I do? You never did let go."
Here are two of my newest cards.
Thank you for another conviction....I think....! Your cards are gorgeous! Is the first one a print or anactual emboidery, it is such a delightful image! Thank you for sharing! xxx
ReplyDeleteActually it is a recycled card. Thanks for commenting! Hugs.
DeleteOh my, convicting indeed! It's amazing how many times I will take something to the Lord only to try and take it back or like your poem said, stick around thinking I can do more than God. Thank you for sharing, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteAnd your cards are incredibly beautiful! Have a joyous week. Hugs!

ReplyDeleteWhat lovely cards Mehrll. I love that embroidered panel, it is so realistic.
ReplyDeleteYou wanted to know where I got the vertical stamp from - it was from http://www.montarga.co.nz/, go to craft stamps; rubber stamps - craft; birthdays and they are on page three.
Hope you can follow what I just said, but they don't seem to have a direct link to the page.
Blessings
